Currently, the only way to\u00a0receive an organ transplant is from an organ donor. However, there are approximately 119,635 waiting list candidates, and someone new is added to the national transplant waiting list every ten minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The organ donor\/patient graph on the right illustrates the widening gap between the supply and demand of organ transplants. As demand increases, researchers cannot obtain the necessary organs to conduct their studies.\u00a0Regenerat3D has developed a method to produce vascularized 3D-printed scaffolds that allow for the development and survival of living tissues.
